Chile - Francisco Badilla wins the XXIII Indalecio Hernández Vallejo Painting Competition in Valencia de Alcántara.

The work 'The Collector of Colors', by the Chilean artist and resident in Porto (Portugal) Francisco Badilla, has won the first prize in the XXIII edition of the Painting Competition Indalecio Hernández Vallejo, worth 1,800 euros.

For its part, the second prize, worth 900 euros, went to the work entitled "Día de Lluvia", by the author Eugenio Ocaña Afán de Rivera from Granada.

This award is organized by the city council of Valencia de Alcantara and the cultural institution El Broncense of the Diputación Provincial de Cáceres.

These two works, along with 19 others that were pre-selected in the first phase by the jury from the 343 works presented in this edition, are part of the exhibition of which 12 will also form part of a catalog that will be published by the Institución Cultural El Broncense.

An exhibition with the selected works will remain open to the public until January 6 in the temporary exhibition hall at the headquarters of the Indalecio Hernández Vallejo Foundation.
